Dear Daughter

I worry sometimes that I pushed too hard
when you were growing up -
wanting so much for you
and trying to make sure you had
all those things that I didn't
when I was a child.
But I hope that I never made you
feel that I expected too much...
for no matter what you become
or what you achieve,
what matters most to me is that
you're happy
and that I'm never without your love.

I'll always be here for you....
no matter what you do.
