Today is Christmas day, and part of the spark of this great day is gone because you are not here with us.

Even knowing that you are in Heaven, is not enough to make the pain go away.

I know that when someone dies, we feel our loss for them and do not think about the joys that you are having now
or the great memories you left us with....we only feel the loss.

As we start to heal, we start to think about your life, the memories that you left us with. The joy, the smiles (your daughter has that smile now), and the wonderful caring heart you had.

Now is the time that we are thinking lots about you. Now is the time we are missing you the most. Now is the time when we think about the joys are you having now.

Although we miss you Mike, we are healing and moving on.
You would want that for us, I know. You always cared so much and now we are allowing your love to flow through us to others.
You would want that. We will keep your memory alive in all we do and say, and we will spread the love you left us with to all of those who come our way. We will continue on the journey you started.

We love you and miss you Mike.
